Here I am again ;)

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how can i save a bitmap to such a way 
that i can easily pick up it's palette in svgalib? Is there a plugin for gimp 
that allows this to be done?

I'm using a 256 color palette (since 16bit is AWFULLY slow..., dunno why).
