Hi,
I have the SuSe 7.1 Linux distribution on a work station with two 800 MHz
intel P111s that has the SVGAlib installed and have been having a good time
doing some simple plotting of functions and drawing of geometric figures in
c using the SVGAlib. It's the first time I've found any simple graphics
available in c which makes it a lot more fun. I think the book is excellent.
I have compiled liblug-1.0.6.tar.gz with the information from page 198 and
Jay Link's response to Dave Chambers.
But using
gcc -Wall -O3 -o mylug mylug.c -llug -lvgagl -lvga where mylug is the
Listing 9.3 I get an error message.
/tmp/ccwVSUQp.o: In function `main':
/tmp/ccwVSUQp.o(.text+0x37): undefined reference to `read_gif_file'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I've also tried the precompiled liblug-linux off the CD that came with the
book same problem. I don't have the Utah Raster Toolkit installed. I've
looked at it but it's beyond my modest ability to configure.
I'd greatly appreciate any help, hints or suggestions you could give me.
I really would like to have access to the liblug commands.
Regards, Rod Page
