Hi everybody,
I looked into the sources and the mailing list but couldn't find a
definitive answer.
I have the problem that I have some computing-intensive application which
would run in parallel in realtime on a celeron 300.
But now I'd need some function that allows me to pause the svgalib program
and reactivate it on a vertical retrace interrupt to switch the visible
portion and paint another.
I can't do that busy-waiting.
Does a development version of svgalib has such a feature, or does someone
know of any solution under linux?
fbcon (framebuffer console) in kernel has something similar for
amiga-cards, MAC and ARM.
Alternatively a kernel module which gets the interrupt, changes the start
address, un-sleeps the program and reschedules would be ok, too.
Any help, everybody??
Thanks in advance!
Phil
