we have been using svga lib for about 18 months for several embedded projects on a variety of hardware. we recently have discovered a problem when moving to a new hardware platform - The ETX P3 module from jumptec. This board uses a ATI Rage Mobility chip set and we are using the VESA drivers settings in svgalib as standard. Which is what we have always done. we are using 1024 by 768 resolution. After a random time which can be between 2 and 10 minutes the VGA monitor screen will flicker once - just like it is losing sync. This will then continue to flicker at these random intervals. The Same hradware does not exhibit this problem under windows. Has anyone experience of this problem with the Rage chip or is there a better driver that we should be using or a driver setting we can tweak. regards Nick N.P.Ray Managing Director, Interay BV Tel: +31 511460070 or 460080 and ask for Stephanie Fax: +31 51146 2698 Website: www.interay.com Interay: The People with Vision Specialists in 1394 machine vision systems and tools ------------------------------------------------------------------ Unsubscribe: To: listbot@svgalib.org Body: unsubscribe linux-svgalib
